I have 5 computers with windows vista and 1 with vindows xp. I have a router and a 8 ports switch. I am able to see the 5 vista computers and the xp computer in every single vista system, but for some reason I just can’t get to see any computer on the windows xp but itself.
All my settings seem to be right, my ips, gateways, workgroup, everything is right, so I don’t know what else to do.
Any help is in advance appreciated.

A lot of times XP doesn’t pick up on other computers in the network. You should check to make sure you can actually connect to those computers. Go to explorer and type //Computername/ and see what comes up (replacing computername with the exact name of one of the other computers on the network).
If you can connect that way, they it’s just a networking quirk. If you can’t connect to any of your computers that way, you may need to change some router settings.
Many times this occurs in Windows Xp. Its better to change the XP to Vista…..
